2019 Holiday Dinner
Our annual holiday dinner at Bearden Banquet Hall was another great success! The event was attended by around 65 neighbors, including residents from Wesley Neighbors and West Hills. Special guest speaker Tim Burchett regaled us with stories from the White House as well as recollections from his childhood in West Hills. We hope to have an even greater turnout in 2020!
Our city councilman Andrew Roberto is proving to be an advocate for our community by being our voice to challenge the effort underway to change zoning definitions city-wide including West Hills.

Re-code Knoxville
Office of Neighborhoods is partnering with MPC to provide round three of public meetings for Recode Knoxville. This is the time to express your opinions about the new zoning code that will shape the future of our city for many years to come.
If you haven't paid attention to this effort on the part of the city to TOTALLY REVAMP ZONING OF YOUR HOME and all all properties within the city limits, you need to NOW! This will be one of your LAST CHANCEs to voice your opinion in a public meeting.
In a nutshell it appears that the effort is designed to increase DENSITY across the city and our investments are simply toys in this game. The questions that need to be answered are "Why do this?" and "How does it help homeowners, property owners, and the general population?"
Home Safety

Car break-ins are getting very common in the neighborhoods and shopping areas. Many of us park outside in a carport or driveway. It is obvious to abide by these suggestions:
-
Do not leave anything in your
-
car
-
Always Lock your car
-
Utilize an alarm system
-
Park in a well-lit area
-
Even if you are running into a store or your house for “just a sec” you need to lock up and be wary.
